What Comes Next? is a free pattern game for young kids. A colorful train rolls in carrying pictures: apple, banana, apple, banana... The last carriage has a question mark. Can you work out which picture comes next?
How to play
- Look at the pictures on the train from left to right and find the pattern.
- Tap the picture below the train that comes next.
- Answer before the timer bar runs out to score a point.
- You have 3 lives. A wrong answer or running out of time costs one, and the train shows the right answer.
From easy to tricky
The game starts with simple AB patterns, like red, blue, red, blue. As your child solves more, new patterns appear: AAB, ABB, ABC, AABB and finally four-picture patterns. Pictures come from fruit, pets, shapes, weather, vehicles and flowers, so every round looks different.
Spotting patterns is one of the first steps in early math and logical thinking, and it's part of most preschool and kindergarten learning. This game makes it quick and fun. Free to play, no sign-up, nothing to download.
