About Math Balloons
Math Balloons is a free math game for kids who are learning to add and take away. A sum appears at the top of the screen, like 2 + 3, and colorful numbered balloons float up from the bottom. Find the balloon with the answer and pop it!
How to play
- Read the sum at the top. The game also reads it out loud.
- For small sums, little pictures under the sum help you count.
- Tap a balloon with the right answer to pop it and score a point.
- You have 3 lives. Popping a wrong number or running out of time costs one, and the game tells you the right answer.
Grows with your child
The game begins with tiny sums that add up to 5 or less. Then it moves on to sums up to 10, then mixes in take-away sums like 7 − 2, where the pictures being taken away are crossed out. Older kids who keep going reach sums up to 20. The right answer always floats past again, so nobody gets stuck.
