About Hangman for Kids
Hangman for Kids is a free word guessing game with a gentle twist. Instead of a scary drawing, a cuddly teddy bear floats in the sky holding six colorful balloons. Each wrong letter pops one balloon. Guess the word before they all pop!
How to play
- Look at the blanks: there is one for each letter. For younger players, a picture shows what the word is.
- Tap a letter on the on-screen keyboard (or type it on a computer).
- Right letters fill in the blanks and the key turns green. Wrong letters pop a balloon.
- Guess the word to score points. Fewer mistakes means more points.
- If all six balloons pop, the teddy floats down safely on a parachute and you lose one of your 3 lives.
Words that grow with your child
The first words are short and easy, like CAT, SUN and DOG. As your score grows, words get longer, such as APPLE and ROCKET, and later ELEPHANT and RAINBOW. After a while the picture clue disappears, so kids have to think about which letters are most likely.
