About Shadow Match
Shadow Match is a free picture puzzle for young kids. A dark shadow appears on the screen. Is it an elephant? A giraffe? A guitar? Look closely at the shape and tap the picture that makes that shadow!
How to play
- Look at the shadow in the spotlight. The game asks, "Whose shadow is this?"
- Tap the picture below that matches the shadow.
- When you're right, the shadow turns into the real picture and the game says its name.
- You have 3 lives. A wrong picture or running out of time costs one.
Over 30 shadows to find
There are animals like the elephant, giraffe, turtle, butterfly, octopus, dinosaur and unicorn, and everyday things like an umbrella, key, bicycle, sailboat, rocket and banana. The game starts with three pictures to choose from and moves up to four as your child gets better.
Matching shadows to shapes builds visual thinking, the same skill children use to recognise letters and numbers. Hearing each name helps with new words, too. Shadow Match is free on phones, tablets and computers, with no sign-up and nothing to download.
