About 2048 for Kids
2048 for Kids is a free online version of the famous number puzzle, with bright colors and smiley faces on every tile. Swipe to slide all the tiles across the board. When two tiles with the same number bump into each other, they join into one tile with double the number. 2 and 2 make 4, 4 and 4 make 8, and so on, all the way to 2048!
How to play
- Swipe up, down, left or right on a phone or tablet. On a computer, use the arrow keys.
- Every tile slides as far as it can. Matching tiles join together and you score points.
- A new small tile appears after every move.
- You have 3 lives. If the board gets stuck, you lose one and the smallest tiles are cleared away so you can keep going.
Tips
Try to keep your biggest tile in one corner, and build your numbers up next to it. Every new tile level has its own face, from a little smile at 2 to a unicorn at 128, a rocket at 256 and a trophy at 2048.
2048 is great practice for doubling numbers, planning ahead and patience. It is free on phones, tablets and computers, with no sign-up and nothing to download.
